The Dinosaurs Are Going...

The dinosaurs were once masters of the realm, their dominion over the earth unchallenged.

Then, for some reason, they disappeared…

Much like other species before them, the dinosaurs had overstayed their welcome.

Much like all other species before them, dinosaurs died out, unable to survive a changing environment.

Much like all other species before them, the dinosaurs tried valiantly to hold on to their old ways, but they could do little; the skills that made them so powerful in the old environment were now next to useless in the new one…

Their disappearance is not in doubt.

But it is not clear what exactly did them in, and how the changing environment affected them.

The Yucatan impact may not have been the main cause of the mass extinction; the dinosaurs may have been already on the wane when fires burned the skies. In this case, the meteor would have only pushed them over the edge; whichever ones survived would have died out slowly as the mammals took over

One can only picture the roar of the last tyrannosaur, enraged that he could do little to hold off the varmint coming to finish him off. Poperino! He did not go easily, but go down he did...

Then again, some scientists believe that the dinosaurs could not have died off so easily, and some species adapted to the new environment, and still survive among the mammals…

Which explains Marroush, Lala, ...

It is interesting the focus on one side's misdeeds can blind others to another side's crimes.

Is Geagea such a shining star that he blinds you to the criminals in Syria?

While I agree that the dinosaurs will eventually be relegated to museums, the problem is that in the meantime they have gone on a feeding frenzy of some sorts...

Fadi,

I think it applies to all "Dinosaurs" who fail to adapt to new environments. It could well apply to the United States, if they fail to learn the right lessons from Iraq, and to adapt to the current mess which, in large part, they created.
